It depends on what vacation club property you buy your points for. The two places you can get 50 years now are Kidani Village, & Bay Lake Towers. It counts from when a particular DVC property opens. For example: when we bought points at the Beach Club, we got 37 years, because they had opened 13 years earlier. We just bought points at Bay Lake Towers this year. We took the tour this summer, & can’t wait to stay there next year. We stayed ay Kidani Village this summer. The rooms are gorgeous, & the atmosphere, activities, & restaurants are fabulous in the Kidani Village/Animal Kingdom area. Nice to see another DVC member. Welcome Home. lol.
New points expire 50 years from the initial offering. Here are the years the points expire for each resort:
AKV – expires 1/31/2057
BLT – expires 1/31/2060
BC – expires 1/31/2042
BW – expires 1/31/2042
HH – expires 1/31/2042
OKW – expires 1/31/2042 or, if extended, 1/31/2057
SS – expires 1/31/2054
WL – expires 1/31/2042
VB – expires 1/31/2042
I have points at Bay Lake. I stayed there in August and it was beautiful!
