SeaWorld v OSHA hearing, day 1.
Courtney Vail, Campaigns Officer and captivity expert, is reporting from SeaWorld v OSHA hearing in Sanford, Florida. SeaWorld is challenging the OSHA ruling from August 2010 that officially reprimanded the marine park giant for safety violations that put orca trainers at risk of injury and death. OSHA cited SeaWorld with a willful safety violation–its most severe category–and a $75000 fine following a six-month investigation of the February 2010 death of trainer Dawn Brancheau.
