Hi all! My boyfriend and I love Disney and have been going every year for the past 4 years! 2010 will be our 5th trip. My aunt is a DVC member and for Christmas she was kind enough to give us 50 points for us to use whenever we like. I’m siding towards staying at the Boardwalk in October because it’s only 10 points per day and that will give us 5 days. However, whenever we go to Disney we like to stay for 8 days. Is it possible to extend our stay? Obviously we will be paying for it but I also wonder if we would get a reduced rate or have to pay full price. We can’t afford to pay the $350 price per night so would it be possible to switch resorts? Also, is it possible to have the dining plan? Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Disney Vacation Club Points?

I read somewhere that if you book your first night in a lower season, the price stays at that rate even if over the duration of your trip the point values go up. Is this true?

I was wondering when you sign the contract to however many points you want, let’s say 200 points, am I getting 200 points per year for the next x number of years until my contract expires? Also, if the rate of the points is $150/point and I stay four days/nights at one of the hotels and the final bill comes to $750, I would use five points for that stay?
