Remembering Miracle Strip Amusement Park – Panama City Beach, FL

This is a slideshow presentation of the now defunct Miracle Strip Amusement Park, that was built in 1963 and was operated until September 5, 2004. This classic beachside park was located directly across the street from Shipwreck Island water park, which was owned by Miracle Strip as well. After 41 years of family fun, Miracle Strip sold the park’s land, but kept Shipwreck Island open. The investors who purchased the land wanted to build condominiums overlooking Panama City Beach, but went bankrupt. Now the park just sits there abandoned. Most of the rides have been sold, and the Starliner Roller Coaster was destroyed and rebuilt in Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, where it has been reopened once again. funny ape chimpanzees try to cross bridge, but the bridge gets stuck. this is a funny video at lion country safari, of the care takers closing a bridge, ( or trying too) and the chimps trying to get to their food .. The chimps waiting for the bridge to close so they can cross over to their island with the food on it ,, was lunch time for them at the zoo..

Universal Studio’s “A Day in the Park with Barney” is a 15 minute show at the theme park in Orlando Florida. It’s the only place on earth where kids can meet Barney and his friends Baby Bop and BJ live every day in a sing-along, clap-along musical show. The fun takes place in a peaceful park setting with trees, park benches and flowers. While the characters dance and sing both new songs and familiar favorites – leaves fall from the sky, snowflakes flutter down, the stars come out and other magical surprises take place. It also has a “Barney’s Backyard” playground area with a chance to meet Barney in a meet and greet session before and/or after the main show in the Barney Theatre.
