The Wands Chose Them at Ollivanders

The old wand switcheroo at Ollivanders. This was a really cool experience for us during our first visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Receiving My Wand at Ollivander’s!

I was chosen out of about 30 people in the room to go up and have my wand chosen for me at Ollivander’s in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was by far one of the most magical experiences of my life, and I’d be lieing if I said I didn’t bawl like a baby afterwards out of overwhelming joy, haha. My wand was a wand of holly, with the core of dragon heartstring (same as Hermione’s!) and 14 and 3/4 inches.

My nephew Garrett got picked by Ollivander! We waited in the line to go in for 2 and a half hours! We were soo lucky he got picked out of the people in our group!! This was taken on July 4th 2010!
