Payload to Pad for Next Shuttle Launch
The cargo that will fly aboard space shuttle Endeavour on its final mission, STS-134, was transported to Launch Pad 39A from the NASA Kennedy Space Center’s Space Station Processing Facility. The STS-134 mission, targeted for launch on April 19, will deliver the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-2 (AMS) and the Express Logistics Carrier 3 to the International Space Station. The AMS is a sophisticated science instrument designed to increase our understanding of the universe. The carrier is a platform filled with spare parts for station operations.
