This is the monorail journey from The Magic Kingdom parking lots to Epcot

The Utilidors @ Walt Disney World from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland

Sometime around the summer of 1997 McGeorge and I started sneaking down into The Utilidors at The Magic Kingdom fairly often. This is one of the first times, and it shows, since we’re scared and we keep getting lost. Highlights include a Chip/Dale head in the trash, Journey playing on the overhead speakers, Snow White about to hook up with some random CM, Samuel Adams riding a bike, and us asking a bunch of people how to get out of the tunnels and up to Tomorrowland! The exit we came out of is listed on Google Earth as being at Latitude 28 “25’07.34″N, Longitude 81″35’55.96″W, in case you’re interested in seeing how it looks now (there are different handles and some decals on the door). We had dinner at Ohana -at the the Polynesian- around 9pm. We had a perfect view of the Magic Kingdom & Cinderella’s Castle and when Wishes started the music was piped in and we had a perfect view of the fireworks!

STS-115 Launch From VIP Viewing Area

STS-115 Atlantis launch on September 9, 2006 viewed form the VIP launch viewing area next to the Saturn V exhibit center. This is about 3 miles from Pad 39A…closer than the large famous countdown clock…pretty much the closest humans to the launch.
