Also, having single rider come in through the same line as the normal parties puts a big gap in their seat filling ability. Every other park’s single rider has them go through a back entrance right to the front of the queue to fill empty/odd seats as soon as possible.
The higher-ups definitely need to rethink their single rider though. The purpose of single rider is to fill empty seats whenever possible. With their current setup of the line (and along with what I’ve experienced multiple times with a few employees), they are putting single riders on right after another next to each other instead of using them to fill empty seats(and having the side effect of letting single riders have less wait time).
They should’ve gotten half the people from Kraken to help train the newcomers instead of putting all the newcomers on the spot. I’m sure they’ll figure it out over time. All I saw were new people. A few times they got the guy from Kraken over to work but that’s about it.
Well I know what ‘m doing, but honestly many of us came from out side departments and rushed training. It’s not our fault we don’t know everything, and it would just get worse if we hired more.
If you work on Manta, you need to tell your supervisors not to hire newb ride operators, cause they certainly don’t know what the hell they’re doing. It’s pretty sad when you have to tell them how to do their job.
Also, Sea World needs to figure out how to correctly implement a single rider line. What they have right now is absolutely trash.
The shark thing is actually not a shark, its a descendant of a shark and manta ray. Its called a guitar fish. I work on manta, I love walking though the Que line to see him. we named him fred
