Fun things to do in Orlando for a young couple….?
I just needed some ideas of things to do. We are going to drive to Busch Gardens one day. Other than amusement parks, what are some fun things to do for people in their 20′s??

Try Disneyworld!!!!!!!!!!!
Well Florida is pretty much revolved around amusment parks. But they have good restaurants. You can also go try the beaches. Go clubbing together maybe. They have these cool dinner shows (Arabian nights; Medieval times) Both are a great selection. Either way–have fun!
Depends on what you both like to do.
Gatorland, swamp boat tours, mid evil times, sea world, kennedy space center, Daytona 500 Experience.
If you want some other ideas and want to save some money try a Florida Go Card, saved me a ton of money when I went.
Tones of ideas below.
Good luck and have fun, I did and can’t wait to go back.!!!
Excepting Universal, WDW, & Sea World (SW tickets tie in with Busch Gardens, so get a package), there is nothing at Orlando that you won’t also find at Pigeon Forge, Sandusky, or any other major tourist town. The only exceptions are a few minor theme parks like China World, Bible World, and so on. So my #1 suggestion is to get out of generic Orlando and enjoy some REAL Florida.
For just a few dollars more you can get a 2-day BG ticket and there are plenty of reasonably priced hotels in the area. Compared with the glitz and hyper-busyness of Disney, BG is like time trip back to the 50s … it’s quieter, slower paced, much MUCH less ‘marketing intensive’ than WDW. You can buy food and gifts for about the same prices you’d pay at K-Mart or Outback, so make sure to grab some souvenirs and have at least one meal in the big white mansion overlooking the animal park. This will be a big de-compress for you (and a break for your wallet) after a few days in Orlando theme parks. (BTW, don’t miss watching Magic Kingdom Fireworks from behind The Polynesian Resort. Bring a blanket.)
While in the area, don’t miss eating at Plant City’s Branch Ranch. Google it.
There is too much to do in the Tampa area to list it all, but whether you want ocean kayaking, Ybor City night life, museums, shows, or shopping, you will find it all (and much more convenient & friendlier than Orlando) in the Tampa Bay area.
If you’re going as far south as Naples, my favorite thing is renting ocean kayaks on Isles of Capri, $50 single & $70 double, all safety gear included). This is just north of Marco Island, off SR 951 (Collier Blvd) below US 41 (Tamiami Trial). It is next to the Fire-Rescue station (American Flag) and it is further along Capri Blvd than you’d think possible. Go left from the sandy launch point to reach the ocean. To the north are sandy deserted beaches. If you bring a tarp or old sheet, you can tie it to handy Mangrove branches and create a shade. If you go across the main channel and explore the smaller channels, you’ll see ospreys, great blue herons, and so on, and find quiet secluded coves. A lot of areas are waist deep or less.
IMO, the restaurants on the Isles aren’t worthwhile except the one conveniently located nearly on top of the kayak livery. If you can get your kayak back in time, can enjoy happy hour prices on drinks AND on food (carried over from the steak-seafood kitchen next door). This is a breezy, tiki hut style bar + tables. It gets chilly instantly after our super fast sunset, so have some super warm cover-ups in your car to wear while wining & dining. Until about 7, the place is casual. The local seafood (both shell and bone fish) will knock your flip flops off.
Lover’s Key, just south of Fort Meyers Beach, is my 2nd favorite kayak rental spot.
Whether you go north or south, there are plenty of wonderful beaches along the coast with live oak and pine forests inland. Check out our state parks (buy a month pass); rent bicycles, and get to know the Florida most people don’t even know exists. Especially exciting is Cayo Costa State Park, near Sanibel Island — kind of like Cumberland Island National Seashore but without the wild horses and Kennedys.
Welcome to Florida and enjoy our sunshine!
You will really enjoy the nightlife at either Pleasure Island or Universal Citywalk.
The Hard Rock Hotel is a nice place to stay for young couples.
Universal Studios is designed more for young adults than little kids. They have good ‘themed’ parties throughout the year for events like Mardi Gras and Halloween… check their website depending on when you are going.
Busch Gardens can be romantic but also can be a bit boring. You might like to visit the beach for a day or go to Kennedy Space Center if you are into that sort of thing.
