Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
On May 25, 2010, the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster was being tested at the not-yet-open Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure theme park. Visit www.InsideTheMagic.net for more Harry Potter excitement!

@ringlerum if this is disney, why is it in universal? surely if it belonged to disney they would build it i dont know, disneyworld?! anyway i wish i lived in florida i could go everyday
well the rest of the park is pretty amazing at least..
Why that man is riding
@ringlerum It’s not about how big it is but about the fun you have there. You are obviously not an HP fan because you would be happy about the theme park and know that Harry Potter is NOT a Disney production. Anyways, I wouldn’t care if there was a castle or not because I would know that I would be having an adventure of a lifetime with the rest of the people who love HP. What I’m trying to say is that, no matter big or small, you can still enjoy something you love with other people who love it.
Well obviously they can’t build a full scale Hogwarts castle. I’m really pleased with the finished product!
@ringlerum Harry Potter isn´t disney! The film is by Warner Brothers and the park is from universal studios! NOT DISNEY!!!
Love it!!!
The Disney Castle Hogwarts is NOT something to be amazed by. It is practically a low cost miniature (Disney really didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it.) A renaissance festival has more realism and excitement. It is just a cheap theme tourist trap to attempt to excite kids to get their parents to spend all their money. They really should have made the castle a lot bigger with actual access. A lot of hype and little return.
I don’t care if it’s a friggin kiddie ride. I’m a harry potter geek and I’m going to ride every friggin ride >D! And I hate Rollercoasters!
@decarus427 They have 5 roller coasters, this one, dragon challenge (duiling dragons), its 2 roller coasters in one, the new harry potter one, and hulk.
@StrangeMusicFan91 I have never ridden the Flying Unicorn ride. This park isn’t that great anyways. It does better in it’s presentation for the queues and the restaurants, but both of the parks near me have a much greater collection of roller coasters. I think this park only has three.
@decarus427 It is a kiddy ride, its not terrible though. Its fun and im 19. I would still rather go on something like hulk but if theres no line its fun to ride. i rode it 15 times in a row once but back then it was called “The Flying Unicorn”.
So they didn’t actually build any new rides? The dragon one is just the dueling dragons with a theme change and now you guys are saying this one is just the unicorn ride with a theme change. I sort of think this park sucks.
@decarus427 sadly it is a kiddie ride……
how disappointing! i don’t care if its for the kiddies, they should of made hagrid’s hut interactive so people could go into it and made the coaster a bit cooler….i hope buckbeak looks better than the coaster…
@decarus427 I could not agree more about it looking terrible… even if it is a ride for kids.
@decarus427 well it is a kiddy ride lol. It’s replacing the unicorn ride that used to be there. Just a theme change is all that has happened.
What a terrible looking ride. It is like a kiddy ride.
the front looks sooo much slower than the back
it would have been cool if the hippogriff was gray and white…
yea this gonna rock !
wow looks cool i can’t to go.
