Are any of the waterparks open in Oct or Nov (Orlando, Florida)?
Hi
I am trying to plan our next holiday to Orlando and Disney World.
We went there for the first time in May this year and loved it so would like to go back again.
We wont be going back for a few years yet as we want our son (who is 15 months old currently) to be old enough to remember it. Also it will take us a long time to save the money up!!
The weather was really really hot (May this year) but the second week was there were lots of thunderstorms which ruined things slightly.
We want to go back in Oct or Nov next time, as im hoping it will be slightly quieter at the parks, less likely to rain and cheaper (villa prices).
Has anyone here been in Oct or Nov? were any of the water parks open? Also if we hired a villa with a private pool would you recommend that we need to pay for it to be heated or would you say that the weather is still warm enough?
Does anyone recommend going to Orlando, Disney, etc, at that time of year??
Many Thanks

They are open all year
In the cooler months, one of the water parks will close for rehab, but the other one will be open.
I think that most pools are heated even at a vacation home with a private pool. I’ve heard good things about All Star Vacation Homes.

I’ve gone in November. The weather was great! Not too hot and I don’t remember it raining. The Summer months get more rain.
With the exception of Thanksgiving week, the crowds are pretty lite.
They only close when it is quite chilly…in the winter it’s not unusual for only one or the other (typhoon or blizzard) to be open…one or both will be open in october and novenber unless we get a terrible cold front.
Personally I don’t care for the water parks unless it is hot out….
Disney’s Typoon Lagoon & Disney Blizzard Beach water parks.
They are so fun and won’t be crowded because everyone will be in school.
I can’t speak for going there in November be we used to go every mid-October and we would always go to the waterparks. Granted, it’s not as hot as during the summer but the water is heated and it’s still hot enough in Florida to go to them. In October, it rarely rains that much and if it does it’s just one big storm in late afternoon and then that is it for the rest of the day. During the “colder” months in Florida Disney routinely closes one of their waterparks in order to save money and refurbish one park yearly. Last year I believe that Typhoon Lagoon was closed during that time so this year Blizzard Beach will be closed during that time.
